Mile 58 is sponsored by Mr. Pete Gingrich. Pete and I are both members of Phi Sigma Pi at Virginia Tech. Phi Sigma Pi is a national co-ed honor fraternity based on a tripod of scholarship, leadership and fellowship. Pete does a great job of demonstrating all three legs of this tripod. Each year Phi Sigma Pi has one (or two) teams in the Virginia Tech Relay for Life and Pete has donated to every single member of the team for YEARS.
In order to find a cure for cancer, we have to be dedicated to the cause and Pete is such a wonderful example of this dedication. I'm thrilled to have his support in my 3-Day journey.
